About the event
In this workshop, we will explore phenology through the lens of nature journaling – working with drawings, writing, and numbers – using a phenology wheel. Phenology wheels can be used to make month-to-month observations, but they may also be used to record seasonal observations, or even daily observations. They can be adapted to a garden season by tracking changes from week to week. You will have the opportunity to identify phenomena (plant progression and/or health, soil, insect activity, bird activity, weather) you are interested in tracking and spend some time in the garden recording information about it to start your phenology wheel.
All materials (paper, phenology wheel templates, pencils and colored pencils) will be provided, but if you have materials you want to use, feel free to bring them.
***This is a rescheduled event from August due to local wildfire smoke.***
